NEWBREED, primarily known as a fight gear and apparel company was founded in 2006 by David Heller.  The president, David along with partner Bret Jones saw the need for a professionally run grappling and Jiu Jitsu tournament.  In 2012 they launched a new tournament division and NEWBREED ULTIMATE CHALLENGE was conceived.  David wanted to bring on board an experienced tournament director and Nick Recanati joined the team.
